Robert C. Hargrave

Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer

Robert C. Hargrave became Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Peoples National Bank in October of 2004. He grew up in Adena and was graduated from Muskingum College and Ohio State University College of Law. Following law school he served as Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps.

Mr. Hargrave has practiced law in Steubenville, Ohio since leaving the Army. He has served on the Board of Directors of Peoples National Bank since 1984, acting as the Bank's legal counsel since 1982.

Among his leadership roles Mr. Hargrave was past president of the Jefferson County Bar Association, past president of the Steubenville Rotary Club, serves as Counsel to the Jefferson County Realtors Association, is President of Union Cemetery in Steubenville, and is Vice President of the Community Foundation of Jefferson County. He and his wife Christine reside in Wintersville, Ohio.

Elizabeth W. Campbell

President and Compliance Officer

Elizabeth (Betty) Campbell is a graduate of Adena High School and Muskingum Collage, as well as receiving two master's degrees, one from Valparaiso University and one from the University of Notre Dame. She taught German, computers, and history in high school and middle school until she returned to Adena in 2002 to care for her father, Robert Walker who was for many years CEO and chairman of the board of Peoples National Bank. She has been on the board of directors of the bank since 2004. After her father's death, she began working at the bank as compliance officer and secretary of the board. In 2008 she served as vice president, and at the beginning of 2011 she succeeded James Petrilla as President after his retirement. Campbell has three children all located in the Chicago area: a son Scott, daughters Kristin and Michelle, and a granddaughter Ayanna. Campbell is a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville where she is an elder.

Gail E. Fisher

Senior Vice President

Originally from Charleroi, Pennsylvania, Gail Fisher graduated from Charleroi Area High School and attended Douglas School of Business in Monessen, PA. She has worked for Peoples National Bank for many years, from 1975 through 1979 and again from 1994 until the present time. Married to Robert D. Fisher, they moved to this area in 1974, eventually settling in Mt. Pleasant where they raised three children, daughters Autumn and Jessica and son Braden. The couple also has three granddaughters. Gail serves on the Christian Education Committee of the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, where she currently teaches the pre-school Sunday school class.

David H. LaRue

Vice President and Loan Officer

Mr. LaRue is vice president and loan officer at The Peoples National Bank. He grew up in the Steubenville area and attended Otterbein College. Mr. LaRue started his banking career with Jefferson Building and Savings, spent 18 years with UniBank, Citizens Bank, and Sky Bank in positions as collections officer, assistant vice president, and indirect loan officer. Mr. LaRue has been with The Peoples National Bank since 2003 and has greatly expanded the bank's automobile lending, making this bank one of the top five lenders for automobile loans in the Upper Ohio Valley. He and his wife Kim reside in Wintersville, Ohio.
